Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of Am I Going Broke? By accessing or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
What the app provides
Am I Going Broke? is a personal cash-flow and budgeting projection tool that creates projections from information you enter. Your financial plan is stored locally in your browser by default. You may also download a backup or optionally save and restore an app-created backup using Google Drive.
The app is provided for personal, informational use only. It is not a bank, lender, brokerage, investment adviser, tax adviser, accounting firm, bookkeeping service, financial institution, or professional advisory service.
No financial, legal, or tax advice
Projections and other app outputs are hypothetical estimates based on the information and settings you provide. They may be incomplete or inaccurate. The app does not predict the future or guarantee financial outcomes.
Nothing in the app is financial, investment, legal, accounting, or tax advice. Do not rely exclusively on the app when making financial, legal, tax, accounting, investment, or life decisions. Review the information yourself and consult qualified professionals where appropriate.
Your responsibilities
You agree that you are responsible for:
- The accuracy and legality of information you enter or back up.
- Reviewing projections before relying on them.
- Maintaining separate copies of information you do not want to lose.
- Protecting access to your devices, browser, and accounts.
- Using the app in compliance with applicable laws and these terms.
Google Drive backup
Connecting Google Drive is optional. You choose whether to authorize access through
your Google Account, and backup or restore actions occur only when you initiate them.
The app uses the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file scope solely
to create, find, read, update, and restore app backup files that it creates or files you
explicitly make available to it. The app does not access unrelated Google Drive files.
Information obtained through Google APIs is used solely to provide the backup and restore functionality you request. The app does not use Google user data for advertising, profiling, marketing, or sale to third parties.
The app's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy , including the Limited Use requirements.
You may revoke the app's Google access at any time through your Google Account permissions . Your use of Google Drive is also governed by Google's own terms and policies.
Acceptable use
You may not use the app to:
- Violate any law or the rights of another person.
- Interfere with, damage, disrupt, or attempt unauthorized access to the app.
- Introduce malicious code or use the app to distribute harmful content.
- Misrepresent the app or its outputs as professional advice or guaranteed results.
Ownership
You retain ownership of the financial information you enter, the financial plans you create, and backup files stored in your Google Drive. Milan Mijatovic does not claim ownership of your financial plans or backup files.
The app's design, branding, and original software are owned by Milan Mijatovic or their respective licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Data loss and backups
Browser storage can be cleared, reset, corrupted, or lost. Google Drive backups can be deleted, modified, unavailable, or affected by Google Account issues. You are responsible for maintaining separate copies of information you do not want to lose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Milan Mijatovic is not responsible for the loss of local data, backup files, projections, or information you enter.
Availability and changes
The app may be changed, suspended, or discontinued at any time. Features, including Google Drive backup, may not always work without interruption or error. Third-party services may also experience outages, changes, data loss, or account restrictions.
Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. No guarantee is made that the app will be accurate, secure, uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for your needs.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Milan Mijatovic will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, money, profits, opportunities, or goodwill arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the app.
Termination
You may stop using the app at any time. Access may be restricted or terminated if you misuse the app or violate these terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability, will survive.
Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information and is incorporated into these terms.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the app changes. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.
